What is sitemap

 What is the sitemap?

The "sitemap.xml" avoids getting into technicalities that are beyond the scope of this quick guide, helping Google know the structure that makes up our Web or Blog. They optimize the way search engines find our content. This helps you to have a quick access structure without having to brute force "read" the content and create your own sitemap.xml. This will help adding to Google's index and searcher contact with our website as easily as possible.

Without a Sitemap, search engines will take longer to get you "seen" and will not offer fast queries to your blog. Search engines also can't easily find out what changes were made to your website that need to be added to the index again.

How do I upload my Blog sitemap to Google?

Copy and paste as in the text box and press "Submit sitemap". If you have more than 500 entries, when you upload the first 500 entries, then you increase the number by putting the sitemap like this:
/atom.xml?redirect=fals&start-index=1&max-results=500
and thus you will have the following 500 from 500 entries. This is how you do it in order to introduce the ones you need..

You must remember that 100% of the entries you upload should NOT be indexed. Likewise, be patient, they take time to get indexed and over time the number of indexed entries may vary more or less. The important thing is that you keep your sitemap up to date.
